luv thyself series - prompt #17

the weather is so nice today. the temperature is just right. the only flaw is that it's kind of cloudy :( that's okay though. what's the weather like where you are voizies? hopefully nice so you can read this and enjoy the weather 😊

prompt #17: what memories make you feel loved?

i think i'm gonna revert to my list format for this one:

  1. certain uplifting and nice compliments or conversations that i've had with people are memories that make me feel loved. i often remember the words that people say to me when i am having a hard time because i am surprised by how they feel about my character. a lot of friends have said really sweet things about my work ethic, my creativity, who i am as a person, etc. and they're memories that i look back on when i need an extra kick. "music sounds better with you around," has got to be one of my favorites so far.

  2. memories from both high school and college choir are definitely on the list. the people that i've sang with over the years are amazing and fun. they were people that i could go to for laughs and for support, and they've helped me through bumpy family issues, career dilemmas, relationship struggles, and times when anxiety took over. the trips we had are also memories that i cherish. i'll never forget my choir sleeping at the airport because our flight back to atlanta got cancelled or the crazy drama that came with playing a game of insomnia or sitting at a beach in san francisco or the secret santas or the countless stages we performed on with blinding lights. now i'm nostalgic.

  3. my family being proud of me makes me feel loved. there aren't many to be honest, but whenever they were proud because of grades or a cool photoshoot i did or something i wrote, i felt loved. i think almost every child wants to make their parents and their family proud of them. i'll always work to make more of those moments.

  4. i feel like this is obvious, but i'm surprised. when i think of days when i treated myself and did something fun for myself, i feel loved. i don't do it often, so when i actually have a day when i go out and have fun and do things i want to do, i feel good. looking back on random drives or painting days or going to cafes and clothing stores makes me feel loved.

i feel like there are plenty more, but i'm gonna keep this post short. of course, tell me your answers in the comments :) luv thyself! till next time voizies 🤍
