HELLO my voizies (a friend said the name is cute so it's sticking) 🤍 how are you on love day? if you read this on valentine's day, i hope you take care of yourself. it is literally the luv thyself series so, please do that ✨ if you're taken, i hope you and your partner have had a day full of love and each other's wonderful company. if you're taken, but your partner is not able to be with you, i am sorry & i am sending you love 💌 & i'm here (i don't think that's enough, but hey. it's something). if you're single and thriving, yeeeees. i hope you took care of yourself and spent the day doing things you love. if you're single and heartbroken, i get it. i've been there. much love to you & you will get through it! if it's complicated 😗 it's okay. i hope it gets simple for ya soon. BASICALLY, i don't know what your situation is, but whatever it is, YOU. ARE. AMAZING. now onto the prompt!

prompt #5: write a list of things you are grateful for.
there are so many things i am grateful for, but since this is prompt #5, i'll keep it at 5 for time saving purposes 😅
i am grateful that my family is together and healthy. though they GRIND MY GEARS SOMETIMES, i still love em. we are not perfect. we have so many issues, but we are here and trying. my family has struggled a lot to get to where we are. we are very privileged now to live in a safe and healthier environment. my parents have gone through rough patches and still do, but they are together. they are trying. my grandma lives with us too! i love her. she's so smol 🥺 we are all healthy, which is a blessing right now. though it gets tiring and boring, sometimes to the point where i shut down, we are trying our best to stay safe during this pandemic. i wish the same for anybody who reads this as well.
i am grateful that my sister is my best friend and my soulmate. WHEN I TELL YOU... listen. my sister and i are polar opposites. if you're a big myers-brigg person, i'm an infp-t, and she's an istj-a. she cannot STAND romance. i am a hopeless romantic. if you're an army, she stans yoongi and tae with a dash of hobi. i stan kookie and only kookie. she is a musical theatre kid, and i have immense stage fright. she does not like writing and reading. i like reading, and writing is basically my lifeline. you see what i mean? somehow though, we share the same interests when it comes to shows, music, and photography. we also think on the same wavelength. nobody knows us like we know each other. we are the biggest idiots around each other, and those are my best memories. i am lucky enough to not have to search for my best friend anywhere else. she's literally sitting next to me right now in the kitchen. if you're reading this trang, you're still annoying tho 🙄
as i mentioned in prompt #3, i am grateful to be able to actually take a gap semester and can get by without being a full time worker. like i've said before, i am kind of at a crossroads with what i want my life to look like and what i want to be in school for. my mental health was also deteriorating heavily last semester. not everyone gets the chance to rethink their path. not everyone has the time for that. not everyone can take a mental break. do not get me wrong; everyone is capable of that, and everyone should be able to restart and rethink what they want. i am just aware that everyone is in a different situation, and the world can be unfair. i am grateful that i have that opportunity and the time to recalibrate myself.
i am grateful for the few friends that have stuck by me. i am an introvert and am one that does not need others very often. however, that does result in loneliness 😅 i have a few friends that actually TRY. there are a couple friends from high school that i still keep in touch with or, at least, try to stay updated on their life. i cannot believe that we've made it this far sometimes. there are friends that i have made in college that are very dear to my heart and have brought so much laughter into my life. you know who you are, and if you don't i hope i can tell you one day. love you all 💗
i am grateful that i am alive during a time of so much change and information that is just sitting there to be learned. 2020 and the beginning of this year have shown me that everyone, especially the people in my generation, is capable of crafting the future we want for ourselves and for each other. i have seen the protests, the social media campaigns, the k-pop fans uniting to make sure trump had an underwhelming rally, the increase in allies for the black lives matter movement, the lists of resources created, the donations, the voter turnouts in the recent election, even some voices for asian americans, and other countless efforts for an equal and inclusive society. i am incredibly proud and thankful that i am able to educate myself and speak out for what i believe in alongside like-minded individuals. it is fascinating to see what we can do if we help each other and TRY.
this is a late night post, but i hope it ties up your valentine's day. after all, who doesn't love a self love post about gratitude at 11 pm on valentine's? right? 😉💗 i am grateful for you all as well. i am grateful for this outlet where i can express myself entirely and freely. feel free to comment what you're grateful for. have a good night (or day) voizies! muah 😘
